Finally followed up on a long-ago recommendation (thanks, Karlyn) to read Neuro Web Design: What Makes Them Click? Weinschenk (link), and I must say that there are quite a few times throughout reading it that I would just stop and say "Mother F*****!". She has written several books on user-centered design. After reading it, the suggestions seem self-evident. I recently completed the book Neuro Web Design: What makes them click? Designing with the Mind in Mind: Simple Guide to Understanding User Interface Design Rules by Jeff Johnson; Neuro Web Design: What Makes Them Click? Neuro WebDesign applies the research on persuasion and decision making to the design of websites. Her 2008 book, Neuro Web Design: What makes them click?, published by New Riders, applies the research on neuroscience to the design of web sites. The large design decisions that you make—things like the main information architecture of your website or the overall layout grid of your pages—are, of course, important. In Psychology and is the author of How to Get People To Do Stuff, 100 Things Every Designer Needs To Know About People, 100 Things Every Presenter Needs to Know About People, and Neuro Web Design: What makes them click.
